WaveLinx Integrated Sensors

Cooper Lighting Solutions offers the largest portfolio of WaveLinx-enabled luminaires with embedded control devices (wireless sensor and wireless node). These factory-tested luminaire-level lighting control (LLLC) fixtures reduce the need to install additional sensors on the ceiling and switchpacks above the ceiling.

Today’s commercial buildings are more dynamic, so space changes are more common than ever before. Rooms that can be repurposed or redesigned without the need for rewiring luminaires or wallstations are very attractive to commercial building owners and renters.

The flexibility that integrated-sensors luminaires provide for future space changes means everything can be reprogrammed to adapt to new needs, including a new layout. New luminaire groups can be created for new daylight level harvesting, occupancy triggers, and schedules. Using data collected by the lighting equipment, lighting can be adjusted for additional energy optimization to better serve users' presence or the task required, even adding a real-time locating system to locate and keep track of assets.

Solution

Wireless Sensor

WaveLinx PRO and LITE sensors fit discretely in a luminaire for luminaire-level lighting control (LLLC). Fixtures can be connected without the need for dimming or control wires to run between fixtures.

Wireless Node

The WaveLinx PRO and LITE wireless node offers individual wireless fixture control without compromising the aesthetics of the preferred Cooper Lighting Solutions fixture. Stand-alone occupancy and daylighting sensors, in combination with the luminaire's wireless node, are available to support each functionality.

Features and Benefits

WaveLinx Integrated Sensors Offer:

  • Individual fixture control – without low-voltage control wires
  • Zoning freedom – unlimited zoning configurations with easy re-zoning
  • Cost-effective control solution – avoid the material and labor costs of running 0-10V wires; plus you enjoy a lower cost than an integrated sensor
  • Maintain fixture aesthetics – fixture control without visible sensors
  • Static or Tunable White solutions – patented auto detection allows for easy configuration of fixture intensity and color temperature through the WPN module

WaveLinx Decorative Node

An ideal solution for designers who want to offer individual wireless fixture control without compromising the aesthetics of their preferred Cooper Lighting Solutions fixture. Available for both LITE and PRO solutions, the node enables luminaire-level lighting control (LLLC) where there is limited room for integrated sensors – with downlights or linear fixtures, for example. When used in the WaveLinx PRO configuration, the node has two 0-10v output channels to provide standard static white and VividTune® tunable white fixtures; one output channel controls a fixture’s intensity, while the other controls the color temperature. The WaveLinx node provides flexibility in scene and zone configuration and can be used in conjunction with other WaveLinx devices, such as PRO ceiling sensors, WaveLinx enabled luminaires with integrated sensors, and WaveLinx wallstations.

Compatible Products

Cooper Lighting Solutions provides a wide range of WaveLinx-enabled luminaires with embedded wireless sensors and nodes. These factory-tested luminaire-level lighting control (LLLC) fixtures eliminate the need for additional ceiling sensors and switchpacks, simplifying installation by removing the need for 0-10v dimming wires and sensor layouts.
